Meet your event stylist

Hello, I’m Emily :) I’ll begin by going back to the start…During lockdown, I made and styled a theme to spice up my friend’s hen do. Another hen at the party asked me to style her wedding and Born Lucid was, ahem, born. Since then I’ve loved nothing more than talking about your day and the unique details that mean so much to you - then turning them into real moments for your guests to gaze at and enjoy. After all, once the glitter has settled, all that will be left is your memories and the photographs to tell the story. I know how important it is that they reflect the real you - and it’s more than just faces that tell us what it felt like to be in the room that day. Lofty ceilings or moody corners, delicate florals or spangly streamers, black and white or a colour explosion - isn’t it magic how each choice dictates the way you act and experience a day? I’m not saying the decisions are easy to make, never mind pulling them off with perfection. Quite the opposite. The lists and tasks are endless but it’s what I love. I’d leave creative agency life in London ten times over to be here in Edinburgh styling events with you - plus, I’m back to my roots for the first time since I graduated design at The Glasgow School of Art back in 2012. How lucky I am.
