Meet your event stylist

Hello, I’m Emily. Some years ago I made and styled a theme to spice up my friend’s garden hen do; a guest at the party asked me to style her wedding and Born Lucid was, ahem, born! Since then I’ve loved nothing more than talking about your special day and the unique details that mean so much to you – then turning them into real moments for your guests to gaze at and enjoy. After all, once the glitter has settled, all that will be left is your memories and the photographs to tell the story, and I know how important it is that they reflect the real you. Lofty ceilings or moody corners, delicate florals or spangly streamers, black and white or a colour explosion – isn’t it magic how each choice affects the way you feel and experience a day? I’m not saying that your wedding day decisions are easy to make, never mind pulling them off with perfection. Quite the opposite. The lists and tasks are endless, but I love to help you through it. I’d leave creative agency life in London ten times over to be here in Edinburgh styling events with you – plus, I’m back to my roots since graduating in design at The Glasgow School of Art in 2012.
